Koktobe City is a unique mid-rise residential complex, located in a hillside near the business center of Almaty at the foot of Kok Tobe Mountain. It is a symbiosis of a city apartment and a country house. The project is currently under construction and is planned to complete in 2020.

The development bridges two sides of a highway road and connects the residents and visitors to the nature of the region. It addresses the issues of a big city, such as noise pollution and social disconnection.

The western section is a town surrounded by parkland and consisting of 72 multi-unit low-rise blocks, a supermarket, an apart-hotel, a school, a medical center, educational institutions, and developed infrastructure. The eastern section of the Kok Tobe complex, surrounded by forests, consists of 2-3 storey comfortable business class townhouses with convenient modern layouts, large stained glass windows, open terraces, and private parking spaces.

The residents will enjoy the benefits of 2-4 story buildings. Living in a compact and dense neighbourhood enhances the sense of community and overall wellbeing level. The architecture of the complex combines the styles of neo-classics and modern architecture. The facade features and building materials vary from house to house to create visual diversity and a sense of space. The finish of facades involves the use of high-quality and environmentally friendly modern materials. The project uses materials such as natural stone, clinker bricks, ventilated HPL panels, and aluminum facade panels. Vertical landscaping is also provided for creating a cozy green courtyard space.

Moreover, the apartments are designed for flexibility: the owners could re-arrange internal spaces and merge flats as they need. The ground floor apartments have their own terrace spaces, which increase the natural surveillance levels and ownership responsibility of the residents.
