The Chirchik River originates in the Tien Shan Mountains and carries its waters to the Syr Darya. Settlements are attracted to it and are arranged along the river like precious stones. The pearl of this necklace is Tashkent, one of the most ancient and modern cities of Central Asia.

Here, along the river in place of quarries, oases, canals, mahalla neighborhoods, iconic sites and symbolism-rich landscapes will emerge to nurture a new generation of talent, entrepreneurs and the full development of Tashkent's tourism potential. Cities whose major transportation hubs direct millions of visitors to provinces and regions such as Khiva, Fergana Valley, Samarkand and Bukhara.

The fundamental goal of the master plan is to recreate the spirit of the ancient streets of Tashkent, with an abundance and variety of colors, paints and mosaic of cultures.  The shapes of neighborhoods and curving shady streets, the reinterpretation of historical forms in architecture, the introduction of folk art - all this creates a unique fusion of modernity and antiquity, which is a gateway to the original Central Asia.

The Chirchik River will serve as the main pedestrian artery starting from Yangi Park Uzbekistan and flowing towards the new districts in the south of Tashkent. The existing shallow riverbed will be transformed into a natural green belt with ponds that connect to the river through park arteries.

This natural framework is inextricably intertwined with the urban framework. Narrow commercial streets, shady streets with chinaras, central parks, main avenues with public transportation and bicycle infrastructure form a unique urban knit. The street network and architecture are designed to promote a better ecology and microclimate. For example, cities with a chaotic grid are always cooler than traditional cities, and light-colored finishes reflect the sun's scorching rays.

Water plays a particularly important role in the culture of the city, where there are the largest number of fountains. A system of aryks, a unique phenomenon with three thousand years of history, has also been introduced to maintain the comfort of the residents. The water network will help cool the streets, irrigate the trees and become the pride of the residents.

Repeating the natural axis of the river, the main promenade connects the neighborhoods named after the cities of the Great Silk Road. Also, the inspiration for the residential neighborhoods was the structure of the mahalla, which preserves centuries-old traditions, culture of respect and mutual assistance. This unique social phenomenon arouses keen interest in the world and is included in the preliminary list of the World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO.

Each such small neighborhood will also have a unique park, which will embody the art formed in different regions of the country. The history, spirit and subtle philosophy of understanding order are sewn into the handicrafts of the people of Uzbekistan. Moreover, it is important in people's subconscious to have a physical embodiment of their culture, whether at home or in the urban environment, otherwise values and traditions disappear over time.

Tashkent is rapidly modernizing. Parks are scattered between rapidly growing neighborhoods. And there is a special energy and national pride in its culture and history. Preserving traditions and looking to the future is what strengthens the attraction to the capital, and thus to the whole country.
