Kazakhstan-based INK Architects designed the new Brickell Lux in Miami's prestigious West Brickell neighborhood, and collaborated with Ayenk on a development project for Habitat Development. We discussed the project's development, the specifics of working for a Kazakhstani company in the US, and the real estate market with Nurlan Kamitov, head of the architectural firm.

Nurlan, what makes a company so special that it has established itself in Miami?
One of INK Architects' core professional principles is continuous development. I believe an architect's strength lies in its proven track record and comes with experience—a large number of projects developed in a variety of styles, styles, regions, and across a wide range of cultural and climatic conditions. A characteristic feature of contemporary architectural practice is the blending of styles and design based on new technologies. It's important not only to create variations using global stylistic features of world architecture, but also to be attentive to the needs of society and the client, offering alternative solutions to the aesthetics of architectural form. INK Architects has assembled a team that is constantly interested in solving complex problems. We create diverse stylistic trends in synthesis with regional design themes. We have worked in China, Japan, Germany, and the CIS, and last year we launched a new project: the vast Florida metropolis of Miami.

Why Miami? What makes this market so attractive to architects?
Because Miami's architectural market has a positive investment climate and has always attracted developers with its favorable natural resources, opening up horizons for the development of the southern tropical zones of the United States. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, while also being a thriving business and financial center.
Currently, there's a construction boom here, with attractive real estate prices, driven by the high demand not only by tourism but also by the ever-growing population. Furthermore, Miami boasts a very comfortable climate and well-developed infrastructure. Thanks to the attraction of world-renowned architects such as Zaha Hadid, Bjarke Ingels, and Herzog & de Meuron, the metropolis is becoming a new, attractive cultural center for the country. This background provides an excellent platform not only for project implementation but also for learning: exploring new construction and design technologies and expanding one's knowledge base. So we can say that our interest in working in Miami is not accidental.
